Sophie Jegouic Goodall
Vaccine Technology Development Scientist
I’m a virologist with over 10 years of experience in molecular biology, vaccine development, and diagnostics. I completed my PhD in Virology at the Institut Pasteur and Université Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris, where I studied viral recombination.
Following postdoctoral roles in the UK, I joined the University of Reading to work on diagnostics for diseases such as Dengue, COVID-19, and CCHFV, and contributed to a major Foot-and-Mouth Disease vaccine project in partnership with MSD Animal Health, The Pirbright Institute, and the University of Oxford.
I now work in Professor Dame Sarah Gilbert’s group at the University of Oxford, developing next-generation adenoviral vectors for multi-antigen vaccine delivery, with a focus on manufacturability and pandemic preparedness. In 2025, I completed the LifeArc Knowledge Transfer Fellowship, gaining training in IP and innovation to help bridge academic research with real-world solutions in global health.
