  • My role as Production and QC Technician is to assist with adenovirus production and carry out QC checks on viruses produced in VVCF. Assisting with adenovirus production includes infecting cells with adenovirus and harvesting virus from infected cells. My main QC duties are to perform PCRs, titration assays and ELISpot assays. I also perform routine tissue culture of DF-1 cells and HEK293 TRex cells.

Background

I completed my BSc Biomedical Sciences (First Honours) in Newcastle University in 2020. I am particularly interested in the field of virology, immunology and vaccinology. I would like to pursue postgraduate degrees and become a researcher in the biomedical field in the future.
