Nina Jamieson

Senior Capacity Development Manager

I have been working within the medical research environment for over 20 years, first as a Trial Manager, working on several large multi-centre clinical trials in maternal and child health, then more recently in training and capacity development, here, I draw on my experience of delivering trial specific training, and those skills developed in my recreational role as both a ski, and dingy sailing instructor.

I work for the International Severe Acute Respiratory and emerging Infection Consortium (ISARIC) Global Support Centre, within the University of Oxford, which provides technical and operational support to ISARIC members and stakeholders wishing to conduct research in preparation for, or in response to, outbreaks.

I share the responsibility for defining the depth and breadth of the training programme for ISARIC’s training curricula - working closely with the Director of Network Development.  Together we create initiatives for building research preparedness capacity through the development and implementation of training activities, membership engagement, managing the ISARIC Career Development Fellowships, and study activation exercises.
