Head of Communications

Sarah leads strategic communications for the Pandemic Sciences Institute. 

Sarah manages PSI's Communications Team, overseeing press and media relations, stakeholder engagement and public affairs, digital and social media, internal communications and events.

Sarah has 20 years communications experience across government, higher-education and the charity sector. She joined PSI from the Cabinet Office, where she provided communications consultancy on high-profile projects across the UK Government. This included the development and procurement of COVID-19 vaccines at the Vaccine Taskforce, reform of Adult Social Care in the Department of Health and Social Care, and the UK’s presidency of COP26, the UN climate change summit.

Prior to this, Sarah ran a successful communications consultancy and worked in press and communications roles across the international development sector, including at global health and disability NGO Sightsavers and the Institute of Development Studies, based at the University of Sussex.

Sarah is a Chartered PR Practitioner, accredited by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
