Representatives from academia, industry, policy, and civil society are invited to register for the International Pandemic Sciences Conference 2024 from 1-2 July.
Hosted by PSI, the conference aims to foster global collaboration in pandemic research, by bringing together renowned researchers, industry experts, policy professionals and civil society to explore advancements in pandemic sciences.
The inaugural International Pandemic Sciences Conference in July 2023 saw over 400 delegates gather for two-days of presentations, discussion and networking.
The conference’s 2024 theme – Collaboration Beyond Boundaries – will explore how researchers can work together beyond the boundaries of geography, discipline and sector to accelerate practical solutions to global pandemic threats.
Abstract submission, for an opportunity to give an oral or poster presentation at the conference, is now open and closes on 19 February.
Speaking as registration opens, PSI Director Professor Sir Peter Horby said: “Science has enormous power to improve people’s lives. This power can be amplified by partnership or diminished by competition: nowhere is this more true than in epidemic and pandemic research.”
“At the end of the day, the global scientific community are all aiming for the same outcome – to find ways to prevent and prepare for future pandemics. This conference is a perfect opportunity to bring people together, to find solutions, and to break down boundaries.”
