Lecturer in Modern European History and Research Associate Hertford College

I studied history at the University of California, Riverside from 2002-2006 before moving to the United Kingdom where I completed an MA (2007) and PhD (2010) in the War Studies Department, King’s College London. I taught in the History, War Studies, and Defence Studies Departments at King’s College London before coming to Oxford as Principal Investigator on the AHRC-funded project ‘Rebellion and Mobilisation in French and German Colonies, 1914-1918’, which ran from 2015-2018. I am a Lecturer in Modern European History at Hertford for 2021-2022 and a Research Associate with the Oxford Centre for the History of Science, Medicine, and Technology, where I am helping to build an oral history archive for the Royal Army Medical Corps.
