Lamiaa Shehata

Lamiaa Shehata is the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Lead at the Pandemic Sciences Institute. She leads the development and embedding of MEL across PSI and its major programmes, including the Africa Pandemic Sciences Collaborative and ISARIC, working with teams and partners to strengthen the use of evidence and learning, understand impact and inform strategic decision-making. Lamiaa has over 15 years’ experience in global health and international development, with particular expertise in global health security, health systems strengthening, and monitoring, evaluation and learning. Before joining PSI, she was a Principal Health MEL Consultant at Itad, where her work included evaluations of the UK Public Health Rapid Support Team, COVAX and the Fleming Fund. She holds an MSc in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
