The Pandemic Sciences Institute draws upon experience and lessons learnt from COVID-19 pandemic to identify and counter future pandemic threats. In partnership with academia, industry and public health organisations across the world, we will create science-led innovations to accelerate the understanding and develop new diagnostics, treatments, vaccines and digital disease control tools, with a focus on equitable access of benefits for all.
DPhil studentship for UK students
Are you passionate about tackling some of the world’s most pressing health challenges? This is an exciting opportunity to join the University of Oxford as a DPhil candidate, working at the forefront of research into understanding and preventing the transmission of emerging and high consequence infectious diseases. Funded by the National Institute for Health and Social Care Research (NIHR) Health Protection Research Unit (HPRU) in Emerging and Zoonotic Infections (EZI), this fully funded 3.5-year DPhil studentship (UK students only) offers you the chance to make a meaningful impact in UK and global health security.
In addition to joining the University of Oxford, the successful candidate will also be part of the NIHR HPRU-EZI team. The supervisors are recognised experts in emerging and high consequence infectious diseases.
