Antibody assay development for emerging pathogens

I am a research assistant in Professor Dame Sarah Gilbert's group. My work focuses on developing, characterising and validating antibody assays for outbreak pathogens such as MERS, Nipah and Lassa virus to ensure they are fit for purpose in upcoming clinical trials.

Previously, I was working in the Coronavirus (COVID-19) serology Infection Survey, a project between the University of Oxford and the Office of National Statistics to study infection rates and immune responses of the participants, particularly to monitor the effects of vaccination on immunity. During that time, I worked with high-throughput screening platforms to detect antibodies in samples collected from blood draws.

I completed my undergraduate degree in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Technology at the Chulabhorn International College of Medicine, Thammasat University. Following that, I completed my MSc in Cardiovascular Research at King's College London in 2021.
