Researchers hoping to participate in the International Pandemic Sciences Conference this July are encouraged to submit an abstract before the new extended deadline of 23.59 GMT Monday 26 February.
Hosted by PSI, the conference will bring together researchers, policymakers, industry and civil society representatives on 1–2 July for two days of presentations, discussion and networking in Oxford and online.
PSI Investigator Professor Dame Sarah Gilbert highlighted why abstract submission is so important: “At the International Pandemic Sciences Conference 2024, we welcome participation from delegates from different countries, disciplines and sectors.
“Submitting an abstract means you may be selected to come and present your research to all of our conference delegates, as a short talk or a poster. It’s a fantastic opportunity to get feedback from experts.”
Abstracts for oral or poster presentations can be submitted via the conference website, which includes information on submission guidelines and the selection process.
Abstracts should fit into one or more of the seven conference topics:
- Vaccines and immunology
- Epidemiology, data and analytics
- Policy and politics
- Therapeutics and clinical trials
- Ethics, social science and humanities
- Pathogen biology and new threats
- Diagnostics
We particularly welcome submissions from those who are early in their career.
Support for LMIC Delegates
Thanks to the generosity of our partners, we are pleased to provide bursaries to support delegates residing in low and middle-income countries (LMICs) and for LMIC nationals studying abroad.
We encourage bursary applicants to submit an abstract, but you can apply for a bursary whether you will be attending the conference as a delegate or as an oral or poster presenter.
